The goal of Frayed Wire is to inspire, educate, and build community for people at the intersection of art and technology in the Pacific Northwest.

We rely on members of the community to help build our program of presentations, workshops, and discussion sessions. As such, we seek proposals from individuals who want to take a leadership role by speaking at the event, organizing a workshop, organizing a discussion session, and so forth.

This is a volunteer run event, so we are also seeking volunteers to help run the registration desk, set up the session rooms, serve drinks at our reception, and so forth.

We are open to creative suggestions beyond what we have listed here, if you have an idea that will make the event more inspiring, educational or fun.

If you wish to participate either as a speaker, workshop organizer, discussion leader, or volunteer in some other way, please complete the following form with your proposal details. Keep in mind through Youngstown we have access to a theatre, open lab space, class rooms, workshop space, 12 station media lab, and five person sound studio.

Please note that creating the program for this event is an ongoing process, so the sooner you submit your proposal the better. However, the final deadline is May 15th. We will inform you if your proposed talk/workshop/session will fit into the schedule by May 31.
